Hosted by SPREP

The PIRT Secretariat is hosted by the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) in Apia, Samoa. SPREP provides office space, administrative support, and channels PIRT into the wider Pacific environment community.

What the Secretariat does

• Coordinates the six thematic working groups.
• Manages communications, the website, and the documents library.
• Runs the biennial PIC conferences (next: PIC11, Noumea 2026).
• Manages partnerships and the pooled funding pipeline.
• Reports to the steering committee.
